Everything you need to know about "Ask Engine Optimization" - how to get your brand named when someone asks ChatGPT, Claude AI, or Perplexity which tool to pick.
I would just like to say that I have been participating in a high end $$$ AI course over the past 10 weeks and what you are sharing here is an incredible gold mine for those putting it into practice. I've started with Blotado and find your focus on solopreneurs who don't have giant teams really valuable. The value you are providing is extreme and appreciated! Paul
Hi Sabrina, I have learnt so much from you in the last one month since I started following your channel. You are doing something amazing for starters and small business owners. I love Blotato!
i’m brand new to AI I know zero right now. But thanks to you. That’s about the change. I look forward to being your success story. I think I clicked on everything possible. Because? Looking for my niche to make this world a better place and I thank you for making that possible. So if you can recommend a good start for a newbie, contact me and give me some ideas and I will do it I’m God bless.
Sabrina that was the best explanation on SEO and AEO. Thank you for what you do. I follow your videos and I follow your Substack. You are very very valuable to me and my agency.
Hii, really love this info. Was actually searching for posts in marketing and yours was one for the first that popped up. As a marketing analyst, I love the content. Not just what u explained, but also how in detail u explained it with prompts (it was really actionable and it's really appreciated!).
Also, to track if AI is recommending your website, u can also use GA4 (I'm talking about this first coz uve put an image of it so I know u have this set up already). Not fool proof obviously, coz u can't guarantee the person will click on it.
But it really helps know how much of ur traffic comes from AI, which specific AI, and what they do on ur website or app.
Speaking of which, I recently wrote an article on GA4 and would love for u to check it out and give any feedback ☺️. (I'm not attaching the link here coz I don't want to be promoting my article on urs, coz thats not my intention at all. If u r interested, u can reply and I'll comment it, or u can just check out my profile; it's my most recent post.)
Some other tools u can use to track (which work better)-
1. GSC!!! (google search console)- GSC has a separate "Generative AI" view inside its performance reports. It segments data specifically for AI Overviews (the AI snapshots at the top of regular search results) and AI Mode (Google’s fully conversational search interface). In fact, u can even check what ppl searched for to get ur brand or website recommended.
2. Semrush AI Search Visibility Checker
Now this is a third-party competitive intelligence platform. It actively queries AI engines to audit your brand's presence.
While GSC only tracks google, this actually queries chatgpt, claude, prplexity, and gemini to give you a complete picture of your AI footprint across the web.
It automatically checks your site against a massive database of industry-specific prompts and gives you a score from 0 to 100. This score indicates how often your brand is mentioned or cited compared to your closest competitors (which is why I think this is super useful).
And the thing I love aboutvthis is that It flags topic opportunities. For eg, if ChatGPT recommends your top competitor for a prompt like "What is the best CRM for real estate?" but completely leaves you out, Semrush highlights that gap so you can update your website content to target that prompt.
...now that I've written so much, I feel like I've just advertised them for free, but ya anyways, u may want to check this out if it's useful for u. And I'm not sure if I mentioned this above, but both r free
One thing worth adding to the playbook: llms.txt adoption is still under 5% among mid-market SaaS sites, based on a scrape I did across 300 domains in my niche last quarter. So there's a real window right now where structuring for machine readability is basically uncontested ground. Wonder how long that window stays open before it becomes table stakes like meta descriptions did.
The playbook is US-centric, but the same mechanics apply to Indian SMBs on Justdial and IndiaMART. Regional language queries are where the gap is — most local businesses haven't optimized for those yet.
I've been thinking about using this for financial planners here: a well-structured comparison page on "best retirement planning services in India" could get us named in AI answers. The consistency principle applies doubly — most Indian advisors have mismatched profiles across

Love the information! What do you suggest for someone to be able to do this if they are just starting to launch their business?
probably stick with the BEGINNER tactics
Great! Thanks! Do you have any videos for beginners starting to work with Claude/ cowork for beginning automation.
