Step 1: Connect Claude to Blotato

Here’s the wall every AI writing tool hits.

It writes you a nice draft… and then stops.

You’re STILL the one copy-pasting into 7 apps, resizing images, and scheduling each post by hand.

Here’s the setup, one time:

• Sign up at blotato.com.

• Open “Settings”, connect your social accounts.

• Open the “API” tab, click the “Generate API Key” button. This is what authenticates Blotato with Claude.

• In Claude, click “Customize” in the left sidebar, click “Connectors”, hit the “+” button, click “Add Custom Connector”.

• Name it “Blotato”, paste “https://mcp.blotato.com/mcp” into the URL field, click “Add”, then click “Connect”.

That’s it.

One click authenticates your accounts.

To confirm it worked, type this prompt:

What social media accounts do I have?

If Claude lists your connected accounts, you’re done with setup.

Step 2: Install the 7 Free Skills (The Worksheet)

This is the only slightly tedious step, and it’s a one-time thing.

A “skill” is just a set of instructions that teaches Claude one job really well.

Do NOT go download a repository of 100 content skills. Most of it is AI slop, built for someone else’s business, and you won’t know how to use any of it.

Install viral-hooks BEFORE repurpose. Repurpose calls it to open every post.

HOW TO INSTALL IN CLAUDE COWORK

• Click “Customize” in the left sidebar, click “Skills”.

• Click the “+” button, click “Create skill”, choose “Write skill instructions”.

• Open the skill’s page on the Blotato site, hover the SKILL.md block, click “Copy”.

• Paste it into the “Instructions” field, then name the skill (e.g. content-coach) and paste its description.

• Repeat for all 7.

HOW TO INSTALL IN CLAUDE CODE

Using Claude Code instead? Skip the UI. Just drop each SKILL.md into a folder at ~/.claude/skills/[skill-name]/ and restart Claude.

Here’s what each skill does, and the plain-English phrase that triggers it:

• content-coach … “I don’t know what to post.” The front door. It orchestrates all the others for you.

• brand-brief … “Set up my brand brief.” A one-time interview that captures your business, customer, offer, and voice.

• post-writer … “Write me a LinkedIn post about X.” Produces a graded, polished post.

• post-grader … “Is this post any good?” Scores your draft and lists the top 3 fixes.

• post-scheduler … “Schedule this to LinkedIn.” Ships the post through Blotato.

• viral-hooks … “Give me a hook for this.” A library of 100 proven hook frameworks.

• repurpose … “Turn this video into a week of content.” 1 long piece becomes many posts.

You don’t have to memorize any of this.

Type “/” to see your skills, or just talk to Claude normally. The descriptions tell Claude when to use each skill on its own.

Step 3: Write, Grade, and Schedule Your First Post

Here’s the exact use case from my tutorial. I have a folder of random analytics screenshots sitting in Downloads, and I want a post out of them.

Analyze my screenshots in Downloads and write a tweet.

Claude reads all 6 screenshots, finds the angle, and drafts the tweet with the right screenshot attached.

Then it grades its own work. My first draft scored a 6.3 out of 10, and honestly? It was right. The hook was weak.

The grader audited it against my rules (no em dashes, all numbers as digits, no filler words), suggested the top 3 fixes, and regraded.

The final post:

“I was wrong about Facebook, embarrassingly wrong. 12 million views in 28 days, it beat TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.”

Way better hook!!
