Everything you need to know about GLM-5.2, the open model from China everyone in AI is talking about. What's real, what's hype, and what it means for you.
I enjoy the article and because of your teaching methods I was able to understand everything you said. Iβm not a coder. Iβm the 79 year-old doctor pharmacology who is fascinated with AI and have been for four years! I certainly enjoy all the teachings that you have on YouTube and Instagram and TikTok. I do have a question. I just went to your Friday presentations and it the calendar and it says thereβs nothing scheduled. ronfprojects@gmail.com
The most useful distinction here is model price versus completed-task economics. A model can be six times cheaper per token yet lose that advantage if an agent needs more retries, longer traces, or more human review. Conversely, open weights can create value even before local inference is practical, because hosts compete on price and builders gain portability. Iβd love to see the next comparison report cost per accepted security fix across a week of real repositories: success rate, retries, latency, and reviewer time. That would test whether GLM-5.2βs benchmark edge survives the full agent loop.
Personally I would rather have this product as a U.S.A. made not a chinese-made model therefore I will not purchase this even though it is 1/6 the cost.
Yep, as you can see from the last post Iβve been trying a bunch of them, now this one is out I may include it as well in the testing. It would be a great addition, only takes a minute or two to set upβ¦. Not exactly America First, but we got enemies inside also.
Leading edge AI news from Sabrina! Who freely educates anyone wise enough to listen :)
This is very interesting and from a trusted source.
