no hate what so ever & I really respect your post but the reason these kind of posts have so much engagement but never anyone who really goes out & does it is because of two reasons.
1st = there is nothing as a “side hustle” its either business or not a business. the phrase “side hustle” came up to tell people in 9-5 jobs that you can make money on the side but that’s not true.
2nd = This is such shiny object, there are 8 business types to make money in. That’s the issue right there. Each one of them is super shiny until you work & it doesn’t work out… you’ll just hop to the next “side hustle” & on & on. My advice is to start a business, go balls deep & don’t look outside at all the other great get rich quick side hustles that don’t exist
I wouldn’t advise MOST ppl to just quit their 9-5, but instead use their 9-5 as “seed funding” for their side hustle with the intention to go full-time once you can
You seem to have an emotional reaction to the term “side hustle”. I don’t care what anyone calls it - it’s about making more money. “Business” is a loaded term as well because it sounds like an overwhelming thing.
I definitely agree with you on the first part, until you have a good amount of savings saved up to focus full time on your business do it, until then stack up
"side hustle" is that, a business on the side. converts better, sounds, & like you said its way more underwhelming then word "business". People hear it say this is easy money, they try it & quit cause it not going to work especially when you put it on the side.
